Coach Braun

Coach Braun enters his 25th year as a teacher and coach at Georgetown High School. He is excited about the 2023 cross country season. Between both the girls and boys team, there are 14 seniors. The current team’s depth and experience set them up for a successful season.

Coach Braun has led the Eagle cross country team to 15 district championships. His boy’s teams have won 3 Regional Championships and have 14 State appearances. Coach Braun became the girl’s head coach in 2019 after the retirement of long time Lady Eagle cross country coach Kellye Richardson. He graduated from Sam Houston State University where he also ran for the Bearkats cross country and track teams. After college, Coach Braun returned to his home town and has spent the last 25 years building the cross country and track program into one of the best in the state of Texas.
