Coach Jenny Richardson

Coach Jenny Richardson is entering her 19th season as Head Coach of the Georgetown Lady Eagles in Georgetown, Texas. She just surpassed 600 wins this season at the Frauleine Fest Tournament. She was named Georgetown High School’s Teacher of the Year in 2019 and has built a program defined by hardwork, consistency, and student-athlete success. In 2025 all 4-teams were District Champions, for the 6th time in program history. Varsity was undefeated and finished in the ELITE 8.

Richardson has been given the honor to speak at multiple Coaches’ conferences. 2026- she spoke at the THSCA conference for volleyball. In 2025 she was a guest speaker at the TVI clinic, and spoke at the THSCA clinic for Track and field. She has also been a guest presenter at the national AVCA convention.

In May 2024–May 2025, Coach Richardson led a triple jumper to back-to-back State Championships, guided the volleyball team to the 5A State Semifinals, was named the THSCA Assistant Coach of the Year for Track & Field, 23-5A Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Under her leadership, the Georgetown volleyball program has recorded: 13 seasons with 30+ wins, 3 tournament championships, 4 5A Regional appearances, 2 Regional Championships, and 2 State Tournament appearances. Richardson has coached numerous athletes who have gone on to earn All-American, All-State, Academic All-State, All-District honors, and are even playing in the professional volleyball leagues.

More than 45 of her players have continued their volleyball careers at the collegiate level. Her career is marked by multiple honors, including: 500th career win at Georgetown(2023), some coach of the year nods, 13 consecutive AVCA Team Academic Awards, 8 years of service with the AVCA Mentor Program, and Speaker at the 2019 AVCA National Convention in Pittsburgh. Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Lamar University, where she played volleyball, and a Master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. She lives with her husband, Mike, and their 2 pets.
