Advanced Precalculus
In Advanced Precalculus, students will be engaged in the study of Functions Review, Exponential and Logarithmic Functions, Trigonometry, Analytic
Trigonometry, Law of Sines & Law of Cosines, Vectors, Sequences & Series, Conics, Parametric Equations, Polar Equations, Limits and an Introduction to Calculus. Students will factor, simplify, and evaluate functions, analyze situations, formulate equations, solve problems in a variety of ways, communicate mathematics, interpret solutions in the context of the problem, and determine the reasonableness of solutions. Students will use high level thinking skills to solve problems, and apply the mathematics they learn to real world application problems. Students will utilize technology, such as graphing calculators, and specialized math software.
