About Me:
A Southern California native, I graduated with my BFA from California State University, Fullerton. My course of study was Studio Arts with an emphasis in Drawing and Painting. In 2003, while working for Epson America, Inc. I made the move to the Austin area. After spending 15 years in the software and hardware technology fields specializing in sales, marketing and strategic alliances, I transitioned to teaching and am Highly Qualified in both Special Education and Art Education by the State of Texas. It is my belief that teaching is a calling and one of the most important goals one can devote themselves to. I am honored to work with you and your children.
What is BCS?
Georgetown High School's BCS Program is a process for managing the behavior of students who are behaviorally at-risk and who have not responded to campus code of conduct interventions, classroom management strategies, or small-group interventions.
• BCS teaches behavioral expectations primarily in mainstream settings.
• BCS employs daily and weekly behavioral analysis to guide intervention using an FBA (Functional Behavior Assessment) approach.
• BCS is an alternative to the levels-system approach to services for students.
I look forward to a great year of working with you and your children!
